Announcing the First Ever Après Hours Grant Program Winner

In an industry dominated by males, Après Hours intention is to create a brand around disrupting the norm by empowering women to shake things up, especially after hours, and inspiring women to break boundaries. Après Hours likes to make things happen, shake things up and do things differently, and our goal is to inspire women to do the same.

We are announcing the first ever Après Hours grant program winner. We were shocked to learn that companies solely owned by women collected less than 3% of the total capital invested in venture-backed startups in the US. Après Hours was inspired to create a grant program to streamline the fundraising process for women and girls to create or continue to build businesses and shake things up in any industry they are in. We are so excited to announce Mixico Beauty as the winner to receive a grant to fund the needs of the business and enable it to continue to deny the standard in which society holds female entrepreneurs.

About Mixico Beauty:

Dani Rios, founder of Mixico Beauty, started the company when she found it was hard to explain to others how she achieved her brow lamentation look. Brow lamentation was a part of her beauty routine ever since high school, so she decided to create her very own brow lamentation kit in 2018. Dani’s mission was to create an easy to use and affordable brow kit that followers could use anywhere, anytime. Mixico Beauty helps busy women wake up confidently and achieve all the things they set out to do. The company intends to use the grant money towards buying more supplies to streamline the process of selling kits and new products in Dallas as well as stores in Mexico City. Après Hours is inspired by Dani’s hustle and desire to shake things up, and we could not be prouder to announce Mixico Beauty as our very first Après Hours Grant winner.

Après Hours congratulates Mixico Beauty on its success, and we cannot wait to see the business grow throughout the year.
